This course will enhance the student's overall practical capabilities with the modern center- fire rifle, the "queen of weapons".

The Field Rifle Course is not a sniper course, nor is it competition oriented. Those are specialized skills intended for limited applications. This course focuses on the use of the rifle as a tool in the field, for harvesting game or to defend oneself from danger.

Course material includes practical rifle marksmanship; the ability to strike a decisive blow against human or animal targets at unknown ranges, quickly enough to matter, from improvised positions; continuity of fire, utilization of naturally-occurring shooting aids, and more.
